The Aero L-29 Delfín is a military jet training aircraft designed and manufactured by Czechoslovakian aircraft manufacturer Aero Vodochody. It is the first jet plane designed and built in the country. On April 5, 1959, a first prototype, dubbed XL-29, made its first flight. The L-29 was chosen to become the standard air force trainer of the Warsaw Pact countries, for which it was delivered from the 1960s.
