As the president of the Bagotville International Air Show (SAIB) , I am pleased to announce that once again Canadian Forces Base Bagotville will host the SAIB in 2019 on the 22nd and 23rd of June.
The SAIB is recognized as the largest Military air show in North America and the 2019 edition promises to be even more spectacular than our previous air shows. Not only are we planning to showcase outstanding performances, we are planning to do so in an eco-responsible manner. Our goal for 2019 is to provide an entertaining and awe inspiring show while simultaneously being stewards of the environment. Our 100% eco-responsible air show will be the first of its kind in the world.
The SAIB organizing committee is accustomed to hosting bold and original shows and is hard at work designing and developing an air show event that promises to be even better and more festive than our enormously successful SAIB 2017. The decision to host the show on the weekend of June 22 and 23, one of the high points of the year was no coincidence. Indeed, the Quebec national holiday combined with the 95th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) will make a terrific backdrop for a memorable weekend filled with excitement and emotion.
Additionally, every edition of the SAIB is a fantastic opportunity to invite the public to Canadian Forces Base Bagotville to offer a glimpse of the work that we perform day-to-day. I am confident that during the show’s two days, you will be impressed by not only the Royal Canadian Air Force’s capabilities but also with the incredible pride of its members. We are extremely pleased to be able to open our doors to you once again in 2019.
