Founded in 1964, the École nationale d'aérotechnique (ENA), the aeronautical institute affiliated with Cégep Édouard-Montpetit, is the leader in technical training for the aerospace sector in Québec. The industry draws largely on ENA’s skilled workforce to fill positions and relies on the institute’s expertise to provide staff development in areas related to the three exclusive programs: Aerospace Engineering Technology (including a DEC-BAC), Aircraft Maintenance Technology (offered in both languages) and Avionics Technology (including a DEC-BAC). The college has 900 students in the regular program, 5000 students in Continuing Education and Business Services (attestation of collegial studies, customized training, military training, audits) and $85 M in buildings and equipment, which includes 5 hangars housing 36 aircraft.
