  • Canadian manufactured two-seater jet trainer under license by Canadair Limited from 1952 to 1959.
  • A modified version of the Lockheed T-33 of American design, equipped with a Rolls-Royce Nene engine.
  • Recognized as one of the best jet trainer of all time; in the 1950s, it became the first RCAF jet trainer.
  • For 50 years in Canada, it served as a training and communication aircraft, towing targets and simulating enemy aircraft.
  • The first flight took place in December 1952.
