F-15 Eagle

In order to find a replacement for the F-4 Phantom, the USAF opts for the McDonnell Douglas prototype, the F-15 Eagle. Put in service in 1974, this fighter quickly became one of the most powerful in the world. It is fast, easy to maneuver and very agile in air combat situations. Its climbing speed is remarkable as it can reach 20,000 meters in two minutes. Israel, Saudi Arabia and Japan also own this aircraft. Specialized since its birth in air-to-air combat, the USAF created the F-15 Strike Eagle to perform air-to-ground attacks from 1986. Thus, a second generation was born for this famous American fighter.
